Brad, Jake and Sam end the year with a look back at Ring of Honor's fifth Pay Per View taping and Final Battle 2007. The argument strays to many unrelated topics including Kermit the Frog's status as a Sesame Street character, Brad's status as the host of the podcast and all three Cool Kids' status as heterosexuals. Ring in the new year with the Cool Kids!

They have already said that Nigel wouldn't be around for the first two shows of the new year, he is supposed to be in NOAH. I was a little iffy on this episode, I don't know why you were so dismissive of some of the matches. I don't see why you are so eager for Nigel to drop the belt due to injury. He should be fully recovered from his concussion for his scheduled defences against Hero and Strong at the end of January. After that, I think they will build to Nigel-Dragon at the 6th year anniversary show in February, in which Nigel finally goes over Danielson. Then he will drop the belt at the Wrestlemania weekend and possibly take some time off to fully heal any nagging injuries (much like Danielson did). If he drops the belt before that (to Hero or Strong), I think he stands to have the best shot at being the first two time champion, since there are some desired matches: Danielson, Morishima's rematch, Claudio, Jacobs, Marifuji (who I think is being built for a title shot in ROH and NOAH forced the rematch with CC losing). On the subject of Delirious, I think that between a change of attire and his crazy rambling promo from the last video wire, they are moving his character along. I also he had a strike based offence against Albright in the first match of the PPV taping, but did revert to some silliness in the 6 man match the next night. He is the head trainer of the school, so they obviously have faith in him (previous trainers include Punk, Aries and Dragon, I wonder if he teaches is Delerish?) Also, in the latest newswire they announced that the 6th PPV will be taped on 3/15 in Philly, and it should be aired in May, so there is a quicker turnaround for that PPV compared to some of the others. I think New York has supplanted Philly as the number one market for ROH, with Philly dropping to third after Chicago.
